Ruiten Calls for Acceleration of Air Defense System Deliveries to Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Mark Ruiten has urged all NATO countries to expedite the orders and payments for American weapon supplies to Kyiv. He made this statement during a press conference in Brussels alongside Estonian President Alar Karis, as reported by Reuters.
He noted that in just a few weeks, €2 billion in American aid, funded by European countries, had already been transferred to Ukraine, ranging from ammunition to advanced air defense systems.
"I call on all allies to contribute to this and other initiatives that provide vital assistance to Ukraine," the NATO Secretary General added.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump had announced that Washington had decided to continue transferring weapons and military equipment to Kyiv, provided that Europe pays for those supplies.
