India Hopes to Finalize Bilateral Trade Agreement with the USA
India’s Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal is optimistic that India will finalize a proposed bilateral trade agreement with the United States by November of this year.
“I am very hopeful that the situation will soon return to normal, and we will sign the bilateral trade agreement by autumn, around November, as discussed by our two leaders in February,” Goyal said during the annual "Global Investors Summit 2025" held in Mumbai.
Goyal noted that geopolitical issues had been slightly overshadowing the negotiations concerning the trade agreement but added that there is significant global interest in expanding trade and business ties with India.
