Trump Reveals His Cards in Front of EU Leaders: US President's Statements on Putin
US President Donald Trump has stated that during a meeting with European leaders and Vladimir Zelensky, it is necessary to discuss the potential exchange of territories between Russia and Ukraine. CNN reports that Trump mentioned that the issue of territorial concessions will take into account the current frontline situation in Ukraine.
“Today, we will reach an agreement on almost all points, including security issues. I believe that after our negotiations, a peace agreement could be signed,” he said.
The US leader noted that Putin agreed to accept security guarantees for Ukraine during their meeting in Alaska. The Alaska summit reinforced his belief in the possibility of achieving peace in Ukraine.
Trump also stated that he does not believe in the threat of further aggression from Russia against Ukraine.
