Kaja Kallas on Not Trusting Russia and Implementing New Sanctions
The head of the EU diplomatic service, Kaja Kallas, has stated that the EU does not trust the agreements made with Russia. She insists on X that they will continue to stand by Ukraine and obstruct Russia's aggressive actions.
“Brussels does not believe that Russia will fulfill its obligations and promises concerning the resolution of the situation in Ukraine. Security guarantees for Ukraine must deter Russia so that it cannot regroup. For this purpose, Europeans will train the Ukrainian armed forces and prepare new sanctions against the Russian Federation,” she noted.
It should be added that there has been no joint statement from EU leaders yet.
