Outrageous Brutality, Endless Inhumanity: Macron on Hamas
Outrageous brutality, endless inhumanity. This is what Hamas embodies. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron on the X social network.
“The unbearable footage showing Israeli hostages held in Gaza reminds us of this horror. We remember with deep emotion Eyvatar David, Rom Braslavsky, and all the hostages who are still in captivity, as well as their families and loved ones, who have been in hell for over 660 days. France's absolute priority and necessity is the immediate release of all hostages. We continue relentlessly striving to achieve this goal—to reach their unconditional release, swiftly restore ceasefire conditions, and ensure the massive delivery of humanitarian aid, which is still blocked at the borders of Gaza,” he noted.
According to Macron, this is not enough; these efforts must be accompanied by a political solution. “Such a solution is the creation of two states, where Israel and Palestine will live side by side in peace. This is the only possible path towards a future where justice, security, and dignity will be guaranteed for all peoples in the region. Let there be no ambiguity: within the framework of this political vision, to which we are committed, we demand the complete demilitarization of Hamas, its total exclusion from any form of governance, and the recognition of the Palestinian state by Israel,” he concluded.
