Ruiter Makes Humorous Remarks About Lavrov Again

NATO Secretary General Mark Ruiter has once again allowed himself to make humorous remarks about the head of Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov. According to RIA Novosti, Ruiter stated that Lavrov has been in the ministerial position since "the birth of Jesus Christ," and since then, "nothing useful has been said."

“Lavrov has been the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia since the birth of Jesus Christ, and I have never taken him seriously. We need to develop our defense industrial base. But if we don’t do that, we’ll have to learn Russian,” Ruiter said.

Ruiter also expressed the opinion that Europe will not need to implement universal military service, but individual European states may independently make such decisions.
