Archbishop Mikael Transferred to Prison, Defense Team to Appeal Decision
The Archbishop of Shirak, Mikael Arakelyan, has been transferred to a correctional facility, according to his defense attorney Ara Zohrebyan, who spoke with reporters. Zohrebyan stated that the defense team is prepared to appeal the court's decision. "The Archbishop was ready for this ruling," said Zohrebyan.
The court has ordered a two-month detention for Archbishop Mikael Arakelyan. According to preliminary information, he will be moved to the "Nubarashen" correctional facility.
It is important to note that the court has also restricted Archbishop Mikael's contact with others, allowing only communication with close relatives and his defense team.
