Will Pashinyan Visit Belarus or Not?
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, will not travel to Minsk and will participate in the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) remotely. This was announced by Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Rzhenkov.
Other leaders of EAEU member states (Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan), except for the Armenian Prime Minister, have confirmed their personal presence at the event. “Nikol Pashinyan will participate in the forum remotely via video conference,” said the head of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It is noteworthy that the Eurasian Economic Forum will take place in Minsk on June 26-27. This coincides with the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting with the participation of the heads of EAEU member states.
Recall that at the end of last year, Pashinyan stated that Armenian delegations would either not participate in the EAEU meetings held in Belarus or would do so remotely. This announcement came amid escalating relations between Minsk and Yerevan.
