Arthur Vanetsyan's Decision Regarding Participation in Parliamentary Elections
The 'Homeland' party has decided to participate in the 2026 parliamentary elections without forming an alliance. This was announced by the party's president, Arthur Vanetsyan, during the 'LurjCast' program.
According to him, there is currently no unifying figure in the opposition that all forces can rally around with unconditional consensus. 'There are various forces trying to be an alternative to the authorities, but the figure around which there could be a 100% consensus does not yet exist. Why is that? Are we not doing a good job, or does that person actually not exist? I am confident that there are many individuals in the opposition who could be good leaders. However, they are not present in public perception because the authorities are trying to confuse people with their manipulative narratives,' stated Vanetsyan.
Commenting on the possibility of collaboration within the opposition, Arthur Vanetsyan noted that division on key issues is impossible if there is a common and clear agenda. 'If the agenda is to remove Nikol Pashinyan from power, there cannot be fragmentation among real forces.'
