Trump May Transition to a New Phase of Aggression Against Russia
The U.S. President, amid criticisms directed at Russian President Vladimir Putin, may transition to a "new phase of aggression against Russia." This was reported by the American newspaper The New York Times.
It was noted that Trump has accused Putin of "playing with fire." In this context, he is discussing the possibility of implementing additional sanctions against Russia.
“However, after four months of empty threats against Putin, it remains to be seen whether Trump’s latest harsh comments signify a new phase of aggression against Russia or yet another deception,” the newspaper stated.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump is considering the possibility of "completely abandoning" the negotiation process between Russia and Ukraine.
