Number of Individuals Held Accountable for Smoking

During the first quarter of this year, 897 individuals have been held accountable for smoking in public places. This information was provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in response to an inquiry from Radar Armenia.

Of those held accountable, 865 are private individuals, and 32 are representatives of public catering establishments and business entities. The Ministry also noted that throughout 2023, a total of 8,214 people have been held accountable for this act, of which 7,838 are private individuals and 376 are officials.

In 2024 alone, a total of 4,161 individuals have been held accountable under this article, with 3,963 being private individuals and 198 being officials.
