Shengavit Administrative District Reports on Balcony Collapse and Woman's Fall
Today, in the building located at 66 Araratyan Street of the Shengavit administrative district, a balcony collapsed and a citizen fell, resulting in injuries and necessitating transport to the "Erebuni" Medical Center. This information was stated in a press release by the Shengavit administrative district.
Considering the current situation and aiming to prevent similar unfortunate incidents in the future, the Shengavit administrative district once again informs citizens that the balconies of multi-apartment buildings are the property of the apartment owners, and any maintenance or renovation work must be carried out by the property owners themselves.
“At the same time, we would like to inform that, as a demonstration of good will, the district administration carries out renovation and reinforcement work on emergency balconies within the framework of annual programs, though on a limited basis,” the statement reads.
Earlier, Shamshyan.com reported that around 13:20 in Yerevan, a resident of the second floor of the building at 66 Araratyan in the Shengavit administrative district was hanging laundry on the balcony when it collapsed, causing her to fall.
