US Discusses Yemen Situation with Russia
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed the ongoing restoration of relations and the situation surrounding Yemen during their conversation. This was stated by the official representative of the US State Department, Tami Bruce.
The Secretary informed Russia about US military operations aimed at restraining the Iran-sponsored Houthis and emphasized that the continued attacks on American military and commercial vessels in the Red Sea by the Houthis are unacceptable. Secretary Rubio and Foreign Minister Lavrov also discussed the steps following their recent meetings in Saudi Arabia and agreed to continue working towards restoring connections between the US and Russia.
