Trump Sends Letter to Khamenei
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he wishes to negotiate with Iran regarding the nuclear agreement and sent a letter to the Iranian leadership on Thursday, expressing hope that they would agree to negotiate. This information was reported by Reuters, detailing that the U.S. president announced it during an interview with Fox Business Network.
"I said, 'I hope you will negotiate because it would be much better for Iran.' I think they want to receive that letter. The alternative is that we have to do something because we can't allow nuclear weapons to be created," Trump mentioned during the interview.
The letter is reportedly addressed to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The White House has not commented on the matter. According to Trump, the U.S. prefers to strike a deal with Iran regarding its nuclear program.
