Zelensky First Called Starmer, Then Commented on Feud with Trump: Sky News
Before releasing a comment on social media about his conflict with U.S. President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a phone call to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. This was reported by Sky News, citing a representative of the British government leader.
The Prime Minister’s office stated that Keir Starmer spoke with both Zelensky and Trump in the last 24 hours. “The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of all parties in working towards a stable and secure peace in Ukraine as quickly as possible,” the office’s statement said.
Recall that the controversial incident involving Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump took place on February 28 during the Ukrainian politician's visit to Washington. Reports indicated that the parties were set to sign an agreement regarding rare earth metals. A dispute arose between them during the meeting at the White House. Later, Fox News reporter Jackie Heinrich wrote on her X social media page that Zelensky did not choose to leave the White House himself, but rather was expelled by the head of state.
