No More Support: Robert Fico
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has announced that his country will no longer provide any support to Ukraine, neither financial nor military.
"The strategy of 'peace through strength' is an illusion. Ukraine will never be strong enough to negotiate from a position of military power. We do not wish to escalate this conflict further," Fico stated.
He suggested that the next EU leaders' summit, scheduled for March 6, should include the necessity of a ceasefire on its agenda, regardless of whether a final peace agreement is reached or not.
"If the European Council ignores the calls for a comprehensive ceasefire, it may be impossible to achieve a common position on Ukraine," Fico warned, hinting that Slovakia could block future decisions at the European level.
