Macron and Starmer to Attempt to Convince Trump
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, are set to try to persuade U.S. President Donald Trump not to pursue bilateral negotiations with Vladimir Putin. This was reported by The Times.
“Senior diplomatic sources have indicated that each of them will try to convince Trump to refrain from continuing bilateral peace talks with Moscow regarding the future security guarantees for Ukraine in exchange for Europe's commitments,” the publication stated.
It is noted that Macron's visit to Washington, where he is scheduled to meet with Donald Trump, could influence U.S. policy.
