State Department Reveals Details of Rubio-Lavrov Phone Call
The U.S. State Department has disclosed details regarding the phone conversation between U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, which took place yesterday.
Department spokesperson Tami Bruce noted that Rubio spoke with Lavrov as a continuation of the conversation between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier in the week.
“The Secretary reaffirmed President Trump’s commitment to ending the Ukrainian conflict. Additionally, they discussed the possibility of cooperating on a number of other bilateral issues,” the State Department said in its statement.
