The Process of Territorial Surrender Continues: Debate Between Alen Simonyan and Minasian
The map of Armenia posted on the wall of the National Assembly has come under criticism from opposition lawmakers, who claim it is evidence of territorial surrender. Lawmaker Anna Mkrtchyan even staged a protest by placing a unified map of Armenia and Artsakh on the National Assembly podium, which was removed shortly after.
"The government continues the process of territorial surrender," said Artsvik Minasian, secretary of the 'Armenia' faction, during his speech. "A significant process of erasure is ongoing. These people are completely erasing the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh," he added, once again referring to the map on the wall of the National Assembly. "The parliamentary session is starting with another process of erasure."
