I Will Not Allow Him: Zelensky
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has stated that he does not need intermediaries in his communications with the newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump. He made this remark during a session of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities on December 17, as reported by Ukrinform.
Zelensky revealed that he has had several meetings and conversations with Trump. “We are in a transitional period in the United States. I am communicating with President Trump; we have had several meetings and conversations. I do not need intermediaries in that. There are various political figures who are doing PR,” said the President.
In this context, the leader of the country mentioned the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, saying, “I will not allow him and those like him.”
“We need direct relations with the U.S. We are a strong country; we have demonstrated this on the battlefield during Putin's entire aggression. Does anyone in Europe have such a modern example? No, Orban does not have such an army. How will he pressure Putin? With a joke? A smile? Let him keep it,” the President declared.
