What NATO Foreign Ministers Decided Regarding Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has stated that he discussed the outcomes of the recent meeting of the alliance's countries' foreign ministers and the assistance provided to Kyiv with Vladimir Zelensky.
“I have spoken with Zelensky, and our priority is to provide more support to Ukraine, more air defense, ammunition, and to do all of this more quickly,” Stoltenberg wrote on social media platform X.
Russia believes that the supply of weapons to Ukraine disrupts the settlement process by directly involving NATO countries in the conflict and is “playing with fire.” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has noted that any delivery containing weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia. According to him, the U.S. and NATO are directly involved in the conflict, not only supplying arms but also training personnel in Great Britain, Germany, Italy, and other countries.
The Kremlin has stated that supplying weapons to Ukraine from the West does not contribute to negotiations and will have a negative impact.
