Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs Seizes Pyrotechnics, Molotov Cocktails from Opposition Offices
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia announced on Wednesday that during criminal investigations, searches conducted in the offices of opposition parties and organizations resulted in the seizure of pyrotechnics, Molotov cocktails, various chemicals, and equipment. This was reported by РИА Новости.
"Searches were conducted in the personal and residential properties of 6 individuals due to an emergency situation, and investigative actions are also being carried out at the youth office of the 'United National Movement', as well as the offices of the 'Giuti' movement and the 'Droa' party... As a result of the office searches, evidence seized included helmets, a large quantity of pyrotechnics, electrical equipment, computer technology, Molotov cocktails, paints, and various types of solutions," the MIA statement said.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that seven individuals had been arrested following the searches of opposition party offices.
