Opposition MPs File Lawsuit Against Government and Foreign Ministry
Kristine Vardanyan, a member of the National Assembly of Armenia, has made a post on her Facebook page stating: "Dear compatriots, esteemed media colleagues, together with my colleagues Anna Grigoryan, Gegham Manukyan, and Arthur Khachatryan, we have filed a lawsuit against the government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, demanding to recognize as unlawful the letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia dated March 14, 2024, which prohibited us from accessing the drafts of the agreement being discussed with Azerbaijan.
The court, presided over by Judge Robert Makeyan, has decided to accept the claim for processing. A preliminary court hearing has also been scheduled for January 14, 2025. We will be persistent in our efforts to annul this arbitrary decision and to restore our right to access a document that is of great importance to the public," she noted.
