Is Zelensky Ready to End the War Without Territory Recovery? Bloomberg
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has "so far sent the strongest signal" regarding his willingness to cease hostilities without reclaiming all lost territories, Bloomberg reported on Friday in connection with his statements about NATO's support.
According to Bloomberg, a "critical point" is emerging in the Ukrainian conflict as Russian forces "confidently advance in the east," while newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump has pledged to end the fighting during his campaign.
Earlier, in an interview with Sky News, Zelensky did not rule out the possibility of halting the "intense phase" of the conflict if the territories under Kyiv's control are placed under NATO's "umbrella." Zelensky's statement has sparked a strong reaction in Ukraine. As noted by the Strana publication, this is Zelensky's first statement since February 2022 that he is willing to stop the conflict without recovering lost territories.
