Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Regrets Polish President's Actions
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has expressed dissatisfaction regarding Polish President Andrzej Duda's meeting with Polish observers of the European Union's monitoring mission in the Armenia-Azerbaijan border zone.
“The Polish President's visit to the border area between Armenia and Azerbaijan is yet another indication of the anti-Azerbaijani policies of EU member countries. We deeply regret the Polish President's actions. Azerbaijan reserves the right to take necessary diplomatic measures in response to this unfriendly act,” the statement from Baku reads.
Azerbaijanis have characterized the actions of the Polish side as a “telephoto show” and noted that bilateral relations will be strained due to this incident.
