No Country Can Influence Armenia: CSTO Secretary
“Armenia has been, is, and will remain our ally,” said CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov during a meeting of the CSTO member states’ leaders taking place in Kazakhstan.
“As it is known, Armenia has put its work with the CSTO on ‘pause,’ which is a result of the position of the political leadership of Armenia. However, I must emphasize that this is a decision of a sovereign state, and no other country or organization can influence it. Armenia's position was discussed at the meeting of the leaders of the CSTO member countries, but Armenia has been, is, and will remain our ally. We hope that in the foreseeable future our ally will fully return to the CSTO,” he noted.
