Protesters Reject Abkhazia President's Demand
Protesters gathered near the presidential administration of Abkhazia have rejected President Aslan Bzhania's proposal to hold early elections and have refused to leave government buildings.
Recall that President Bzhania has promised to resign when the protesters vacate the parliament building in Sukhum.
He also stated that until new elections, the country will be led by Vice President Badra Gunba.
“When the protesters leave the building, I will submit my resignation, and we will see how much support they receive in the new elections,” Bzhania said during a meeting with the public in the village of Tamish.
