Pashinyan Holds Consultation Meeting
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a consultation meeting was held today, during which the draft package of laws on amendments and additions to the Law on Local Self-Government in Yerevan and related laws was discussed. This was reported by the government’s press service.
Yerevan's Mayor Tigran Avinyan emphasized that the changes concern nearly all areas of the activities of self-governing bodies. According to the mayor, the proposed package is the largest in terms of volume and content.
The presented package suggests solutions for restoring the city's appearance, preventing unauthorized construction, eliminating its consequences, making changes in the field of commerce and services, more efficient implementation of administrative proceedings regarding administrative offenses, preventing administrative violations and effectively eliminating their consequences, ensuring coexistence rules within the community, and addressing transportation issues.
A discussion took place regarding the presented amendments and additions. Participants of the consultation expressed their views on the proposed solutions.
