Trump Claims Election Fraud During Early Voting
US Vice President Kamala Harris has a slightly higher approval rating than former President Donald Trump in three states that could play a crucial role in the presidential election, according to an October Marist Poll reported by The Hill.
“Pennsylvania is deceiving people and committing a crime like never before. Report fraud to the authorities. Law enforcement must act now,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social network.
Sociologists conducted a survey from October 27-30 with 1,214 likely voters in Michigan, 1,400 in Pennsylvania, and 1,330 in Wisconsin. Democrat Harris leads Republican rival Trump by 3 percentage points in Michigan, and by 2% in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. In Michigan, 51% of respondents expressed support for Harris, while 48% backed Trump.
Compared to the Marist Poll’s September survey, Harris's position in Michigan has weakened; in September, she led by 5 percentage points. In Pennsylvania, 50% of respondents indicated they would vote for Harris, while 48% prefer Trump. In September, both candidates garnered 49% support. In Wisconsin, 50% of respondents would vote for Harris, compared to 48% for Trump, although she previously led by 1 percentage point in September.
Additionally, women in these states are more actively supporting the Democratic candidate, while Trump receives more approval among men. The Hill emphasizes the importance of support for Harris in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, known as part of the “blue wall” (this term refers to the 18 states and the District of Columbia where Democrats won presidential elections from 1992 to 2012).
