Lavrov to Visit EU After Three-Year Hiatus
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is set to visit Malta in December 2024 to participate in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). This information was reported by the newspaper 'Vedomosti', citing Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
This will mark the Russian Foreign Minister's first visit to the EU since the onset of the Russia-Ukraine war. The last time the Russian Foreign Minister was in the EU was in 2021, when he attended the OSCE Foreign Ministers' Council meeting in Stockholm.
