Following the assassination of Yahya Sinwar, the head of the HAMAS political bureau, the leadership of the movement will be handed over to the head of its foreign representation, Khaled Meshaal. This was reported by the Lebanese news portal LBCI, citing its sources.
Sources have confirmed that Khaled Meshaal has assumed the position of movement leader and is now responsible for negotiations regarding hostages. They noted that the leadership of HAMAS has informed officials in Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt about Sinwar's assassination, and emphasized that the issues of prisoner exchanges and negotiations regarding the end of the war will become even more complicated following his death.
