Peace Between Armenia and Azerbaijan Does Not Depend on the US, State Department Says
The United States has never linked COP29 to a potential peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This was stated by Matthew Miller, spokesperson for the State Department, during a regular briefing.
"We have never linked this agreement with COP29. A few months ago, we expressed our desire to see a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and insisted that it be reached. However, it depends on the parties, not the United States," he clarified.
