Israeli tanks have opened fire on a United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) peacekeeping base located near the village of Kfar Kila in southern Lebanon, causing material damage. This information was reported in a statement released by UNIFIL.
“This morning, peacekeepers stationed near Kfar Kila observed an Israeli 'Merkava' tank targeting their base, resulting in damage to their observation equipment,” the statement said.
