Iran's President Issues Warning to Azerbaijan
The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has warned Azerbaijan about the adverse consequences of creating a platform for foreign states in the region, as reported by Tasnim. During a meeting with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, President Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran's respect for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, while insisting that the sovereignty of no state should be overlooked. He cautioned that the establishment of foreign state platforms in the region would not serve the interests of regional countries.
“We believe that through cooperation we can ensure security and resolve our issues. This is the principled policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which we have always emphasized,” Pezeshkian stated.
