Armenia's National Debt
As of August 31, 2024, Armenia's national debt has reached approximately 4 trillion 830.3 billion drams. Compared to December 31, 2023, the national debt has increased by 39 billion 545.1 million drams (about 129 million dollars).
This information was reported by the Statistical Committee of Armenia. According to the data provided by the Committee, the national debt has increased by 39 billion 545.1 million drams compared to December 31, 2023, when it stood at 4 trillion 794 billion 905 million drams.
It is noteworthy that the increase in national debt has been primarily due to domestic borrowing. As of December 31, 2023, the domestic debt was 2 trillion 163.1 billion drams, which rose by 30 billion 191 million drams to reach 2 trillion 389.1 billion drams by August 31, 2024.
