Video: Now I Can Say With Confidence It Was a Very Right Decision - Prime Minister
Participating in the discussions of the "3+3" format was the right decision. This statement was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a Q&A session with the government in the National Assembly, responding to a remark by Shirak Torosyan, a member of the "Civil Contract" faction, who stated that foreign policy is not complementary, is one-sided, and harms our national interests.
"I myself have said that the political course pursued by the Republic of Armenia is not complementary but balanced," he emphasized.
According to the Prime Minister, despite all this, the regional dimension of our foreign policy must also be considered. "In this regard, when the question of our participation in the '3+3' format was being decided, and we decided that we should participate, that decision was seriously criticized. Now I can confidently say that participating in those discussions was the very right decision, and it highlights the regional dimension of our foreign policy," he declared.
Regarding Armenia's relations with Iran, Pashinyan characterized them in one word: normal. "These relations are not the result and consequence of a political decision," he noted.
According to the Prime Minister, the steps of the Armenian authorities are aimed at normalizing relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey.
