Why Allen Simonian's Visit to Canada Has Been Postponed
The visit of National Assembly President Allen Simonian and several accompanying members of the ruling My Step alliance to Canada, scheduled for September 25-30, has been postponed due to internal political issues in Canada.
In an interview with 24News, the spokesperson for the National Assembly President, Movses Harutyunyan, mentioned that the Speaker of Canada’s House of Commons called Simonian and requested to postpone the visit because a political force has exited the governing coalition, leading to a domestic political crisis that remains unresolved.
“It is important to note that the visit has not been canceled, but rather postponed until the political crisis in Canada is overcome,” the spokesperson emphasized.
