Reshuffles Expected Within the Investigative Committee: 168.am
168.am reports: Shocks in all sectors of the country cannot bypass the state system, which is barely coping with widespread disgraceful inactivity and unprofessionalism and is only holding together due to the fact that a robust state apparatus was created in the past. Otherwise, it is difficult to logically answer the question about the existence of a groaning state apparatus after the 2018 catastrophe that is still enduring.
The unprofessional approach to work, the insatiable obsession of one individual serving, and internal squabbles can dismantle any system, including the seemingly invincible Investigative Committee today.
The atmosphere within the Investigative Committee is also heated. According to 168.am, recently the head of the Yerevan division of the Investigative Committee, Azat Gevorgyan, will be dismissed from his position. However, he will not leave alone; his deputy, Edward Karapetyan, will also be dismissed.
The reason, according to information we have received, is the strained relations between Azat Gevorgyan and the head of the Investigative Committee, Arghishti Kyaramyan. We will attempt to clarify why the relationship between these two long-time close friends has soured; however, there are persistent rumors circulating within the Investigative Committee that there is a deep atmosphere of distrust between the friends, and Azat Gevorgyan has not behaved properly. This is particularly noteworthy as they were so close that Kyaramyan personally visited the city division to congratulate his friend on his birthday.
According to the publication, there was even a closed meeting recently, during which Arghishti Kyaramyan addressed Azat Gevorgyan, saying, 'It's a pity about the road we have traveled together.'
The Investigative Committee is in shock. They find it hard to believe that Azat Gevorgyan's position could be undermined, yet our sources within the Committee insist that Gevorgyan's days are numbered; he will either face demotion and be transferred to another job or leave the system altogether.
