Details on Pashinyan's Support Regarding Arrest in Russia
Tatoul Asilyan, a former member of the My Step Alliance, has been located in the Russian Federation. The information was confirmed to Sputnik Armenia by Narek Sargsyan, the press secretary of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs. He noted that the Russian side has officially informed about the discovery of the wanted individual.
Earlier, there were reports in the media suggesting that Asilyan had been detained in Russia. According to Sputnik, Asilyan initially denied these claims, posting a video on his Facebook page asserting that he is free, although he later deleted the video.
Asilyan, a 35-year-old resident of Tavush Province, was a member of the My Step Alliance's board. Last year, he gained notoriety for calling for the expulsion of people displaced from Artsakh who participated in anti-government protests. He was expelled from the party in November 2023. In May 2024, he was placed on the wanted list on charges of violating traffic regulations.
It should be noted that Asilyan continues to generate hatred towards Artsakh residents on his Facebook page. He also initiated an online poll asking, 'Do you support the idea of Artsakh residents remaining in Armenia?'
