Russia Declines Participation in Peace Summit, Says Zakharova
Russia will not participate in the second peace summit planned by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for this autumn, announced Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to her, this summit has "nothing in common with resolution processes" and aims to present Zelensky's absolutely unviable formula as an alternative basis for conflict resolution, garner support from the global majority, and present an ultimatum to Russia regarding capitulation in his name.
“We will not participate in such ‘summits,’” Zakharova stated.
At the same time, she added that Moscow does not refuse to resolve the conflict through political and diplomatic means and is ready to discuss “truly serious proposals,” taking into account the situation, geopolitical realities, and President Vladimir Putin's suggestions.
