Verbal Instruction Issued Not to Arrest Lapshin; Prosecutor's Office Clarifies
Alexander Lapshin was identified by the Police of Armenia on September 21, 2024, based on an international arrest request from the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Belarus. This information was provided by an advisor to the Prosecutor General of Armenia.
"After reviewing the documents by the prosecutor, a verbal instruction has been issued not to arrest A. Lapshin; currently, Lapshin is at liberty," the statement reads.
Earlier today, it was reported that based on an arrest request from Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation, law enforcement officers had blocked blogger Alexander Lapshin's entry into the territory of Armenia at Yerevan's Zvartnots Airport.
