US Actions Will Not Go Unanswered, Zakharova Says
The silence of international organizations regarding US actions against Russian media confirms their complicity in Washington's policies, and Moscow will respond, stated Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Her remarks were cited by the ministry's press service.
"The actions of the American administration will not go unanswered," Zakharova said in her statement. She described the sanctions against Russian media as "arbitrary" and "unprecedented repression in scale."
The Foreign Ministry representative emphasized that the American ruling elite manipulates public opinion and protects its citizens from inconvenient information. According to Zakharova, the popularity of Russian media is growing in many countries, while Western media presents information about global events in a "fabricated" and "one-sided" manner, and the US is struggling to come to terms with this reality.
