Stéphan Séjourné and Ararat Mirzoyan Visit Vedi Reservoir
The French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Stéphan Séjourné, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, have visited the Vedi Reservoir, which is being constructed with the financial support of the French Development Agency and co-financing from the Government of Armenia.
This information was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ministers familiarized themselves with the progress of the construction works of the reservoir. The strategic importance of the project in the context of strengthening Armenia's resilience was emphasized.
Ararat Mirzoyan stated, "The partnership between Armenia and France is actively developing in all directions, and here we are witnessing a very specific and tangible result of that partnership."
During the tour, discussions were held on the project's expected economic development in the community, the involvement of additional water resources, improvements in water management effectiveness, enhancement of irrigation supplies, as well as its significant positive impacts on the environment and tourism.
