Reason for Dismissal of 5th Army Corps Commander Was Internal Disagreement: 'Zhoghovurd'
The dismissal of the commander of the 5th Army Corps, Sasun Badasyan, has deep roots. This is reported by the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd'.
According to 'Zhoghovurd', the reason for his dismissal was internal disagreements within the army corps. There had been confrontations even with the chief of staff of the 5th Army Corps, and there are even reports that the disagreement escalated to insults and harsh words.
It is noteworthy that before his dismissal, it was decided to send Badasyan abroad for military training classes, essentially as a means to alleviate the situation.
Recall that on September 9, Sasun Badasyan was dismissed from the position of commander of the 5th Army Corps by a decree of the President of Armenia. According to Article 40, Section 1, Clause 10 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Servants cited in the decree, 'a contracted military servant may be dismissed from a military position in the event of extended time exceeding six months for admission to military educational institutions, postgraduate studies, or for retraining abroad.' No further details have been released.
Badasyan was appointed as the commander of the 5th Corps in February of last year,” the newspaper writes.
