Latvia's national team is very good; we should not underestimate our opponent. Latvia will still deliver surprises, stated Armenia's head coach Alexander Petrakov during the post-match press conference, commenting on the 4:1 victory over Latvia in the first round of the Nations League.

“I congratulate the boys; they performed wonderfully in all tasks and showed great dedication on the field. I appeal and ask everyone not to praise the players for this one victory. This game did not conclude the Nations League. ... This game and victory did not conclude the tournament. We played this match, turned the page, the day will change soon, and we need to prepare for a successful game,” said the head coach.

Referring to the national team's second match scheduled in Skopje on September 10, Petrakov noted that the group's favorite is North Macedonia, and a tough game is expected.
