Peskov on Russia's Tasks During the Special Operation
Russia still has much to accomplish in order to win the special military operation. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Earlier, Major General Apati Alaudinov, commander of the ‘Akhmat’ special forces unit, declared that Russia has already achieved victory in the special military operation. “There are still many tasks ahead,” Peskov said in response to a question about whether he agrees with Alaudinov.
It is worth noting that Russia began its special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. President Vladimir Putin referred to it as “the protection of those people who have been subjected to mockery and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.” He emphasized that the special operation is a forced measure, stating that “Russia has been left with no other options, as the security risks have created a situation where an appropriate response could not be made through other means.”
