Putin and Aliyev's Discussion Agenda Includes 'Zangezur Corridor' Issue: Gagik Melkonyan
While official Yerevan remains silent, Gagik Melkonyan, the only MP from the 'Civil Contract' party who agreed to respond to Putin's statement that Moscow is willing to participate in the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement if both sides wish, has voiced his concerns. This was reported by 'Azatutyun'.
Melkonyan expressed that he sees only dangers arising from the negotiations between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia. Furthermore, he has stated that the agenda of the high-level discussions in Baku includes the so-called issue of the Zangezur corridor. He noted, "They gave Karabakh to Baku and have come to remind Baku of its obligation in return. Personally, I do not expect anything good from that meeting. For us, this is a matter of Zangezur; they have come to address the Zangezur issue. If Baku and Russia are involved, they might also attempt to resolve it by force. Just as they resolved the issue of Artsakh by force, they might concoct some scenario here as well."
