Ukrainians Explain What an Attack on Kursk Would Mean for Them
The attack by Ukrainian armed forces on the Kursk region will have a positive impact on potential peace negotiations and will strengthen Kyiv's position. This was stated by Mikhail Podolyak, an advisor to the head of the President of Ukraine's office.
"Will what is happening in this or that border area of the Russian Federation psychologically affect social layers? Will it scare them? Yes. Will they respond in any way other than being afraid? No," Podolyak stated.
He believes that the Kremlin perceives any compromise as a sign of weakness. According to Podolyak, strengthening Ukraine's negotiating position must be achieved by "increasing the costs of war."
