Response Will Not Be Ignored: Lukashenko Announces Destruction of Ukrainian Drones in Belarusian Airspace
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has announced that in the past days, the country's air defense forces have destroyed several aerial targets in the southern part of Belarus, which were allegedly flying from Ukraine. The president's comments were reported by the BELTA agency.
“At 7:04 PM, air defense forces destroyed several targets at an altitude of 1.5 kilometers and a distance of 6.5 kilometers within Belarusian territory,” said Lukashenko.
According to him, there are suspicions that the targets were strike drones coming from Ukraine. The Belarusian president added that information about the aerial targets shot down in the Yaroslavl region has already been communicated to Moscow. Belarusian military aviation and air defense forces have been put on high alert due to violations of its airspace by Ukraine. He emphasized that Minsk has informed Kyiv that any provocation will not go unanswered.
