There is no need for a ferry to Russia, says Papoyan
Alongside the ferry, Russia has increased its throughput via Lars, making the need for a ferry unnecessary. The ferry has been rented, but it is no longer needed. This was stated by the Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan, during a press briefing after a government meeting.
“Our economic operators continue to use that route, and even though there are queues, I believe that those will decrease in the near future, and those issues will be resolved. There is a technical and economic study related to the dry port, which indicates that under certain conditions, this project is effective, while in others, it is not. We are monitoring the process, and at the moment we determine that it is appropriate to enter this process, we will do so; for now, we won't,” said Papoyan.
